To date, we have over 100 Kleenoil systems installed on engines, hydraulics and transmissions….Our largest benefit from the use of the Kleenoil system is the dramatic increase in component life, and the decrease in downtime. For example, the 350 Cummins that was chosen for trial in the beginning now has over 40,000 hours on it without any major repairs. There has not been any oil related engine failure on the engine that has had the Kleenoil system installed. We have just recently had to re...

Subject: Kleenoil Letter of Recommendation

As a leader in Eagle County in wishing to operate as a greener entity, we continually look for ways to operate more efficiently. In early 2008 Kleenoil came to us asking questions about the oil program in our bus fleet. They introduced their oil filtration system to us, which is designed to have an engine use less oil over its life cycle by keeping it clean. We were interested and worked together with Kleenoil to design a test procedure.

The program started with a complete analysis of our oil program. They tested our bulk oil and the used oil in our buses to establish baseline data. They consulted with us every step of the way to create a comprehensive test program.

We completed a seven month test in February 2009, and based on great results, ECO Transit made the decision to purchase additional filter systems for several of our buses. These Kleenoil equipped buses will now use and dispose of, 75% less oil. That not only saves substantial dollars in oil costs but also, our mechanics now spend more time addressing mechanical or DOT rather than changing oil.

This process is very environmentally friendly and saves the County Taxpayers dollars. We would strongly suggest establishing a rapport with Kleenoil USA.

Three years ago, I introduced the Kleenoil Filter system into the Garry Mercer Trucking Fleet. My main purpose in doing so was to extend our oil change intervals, and reduce our oil usage without compromising the engine life.

To do this we started out by conducting a few tests. In our first test, we changed the Kleenoil filter every 30,000 km but left the engine oil in, and the filter on. We found we were able to run the oil up to 140,000 km without any problems. We still now only change the Kleenoil filter cartridge every 30,000 km and leave the engine oil filter on for the life of the oil at 100,000 km. This number was set by myself from the 140,000 km due to my precautions toward the engine and the potential wear.

As we conducted our tests we monitored the samples through Wear Check Oil. Together with Garry Mercer Trucking, they still play a large role in the operation of the Kleenoil System program. With Wear Check we sample the oil every other service at 60,000 km.

With using this system we have found positive results from different areas. We had an engine apart at 1,500,000 km and once we dropped the rod and main bearings we found that the bearings were still good and able to stay in service. The Kleenoil System has been compatible with both Shell Rotella 15W40 and Castrol Hypuron S 15W40 oils, and both have shown better results with the program than previously without. We have also tried to run the extended oil drain without using the Kleenoil System but found they were only able to extend to 60,000 km before samples showed signs of wear.

The Kleenoil System has given our technicians more time to concentrate on other areas of the units because of its success. The program has also saved us a great deal of money on engine oil without compromising the engine life. The system is easy to install and easy to maintain. It is my opinion that the Kleenoil System will not only save your company money and maintenance costs but help to protect the environment as well.

To whom it may concern:

We started using the Power Up line of additives and grease about four years ago and the Kleenoil filter system about three years ago. With the Power Up additives we saw about a 6% reduction in our fuel consumption along with lower temperatures, lower RPM's, less noise, etc. The Gen 49D fuel additives make your engines burn cleaner and also adds lubricity which is very important on diesel engines because of the new low sulfur diesel.

The Gen 49D fuel additives cost about $.09 per gallon. So with gasoline and diesel currently selling at about $4.50, a 6% reduction in fuel consumption saves $.27 per gallon minus the additive cost of $.09 for a net savings of $.18 per gallon. Plus you get the indirect savings of less wear and tear on the engine due to less rpm's, lower temperatures, etc.

We are saving even more money with the lubricants for oil, transmissions, gear oil, etc. We were changing our engine oil on our rigs every 250?500 hours depending on the type of engine. By adding the Power Up product to our engine oil we were able to extend that oil change to 1500 hours all determined by regular oil analysis. However, when we tested the new Kleenoil filter system, we still had good oil at "5000 HOURS" and made the decision to use the Power Up additives and Kleenoil filter systems on all of our engines. We now change our oil at 2000 hours rather than the 250?500 hours mentioned above which has extended our oil life 4?8 times. Again, you also get the added value of less temperatures, rpm's, more lubricity, etc. We have oil analysis run at 1000 hours and based on ISO standards our oil at 1000 hours is better than new oil.

One big question is how this affects warranties. We are spending about $5.0M on new CAT engines from Puckett and none of these practices will affect our warranty.

To whom it may concern:

We began using Kleenoil early in 2007 here at our operations in Waco, Texas. We have discovered this technology to be state of the art and superior to traditional PM methods of maintaining engine oil. In our earliest installations, we went beyond a year (about 3,000 engine hours) and have settled with a single annual oil/filter change schedule to keep it easy.

We have over a third of our 100+ unit fleet installed and intend to fit all of our equipment with Kleenoil. These units are easily installed and have already paid for themselves. We have cut oil consumption by 80% and are able to avoid expensive synthetic oils by using Power Up line of oil additives.

Over the life of a truck we will cut our PM oil related expenses down way less than half and benefit to an even greater degree with extended engine life by running super-cleaned oil all of the time. With the on-line accessed oil lab records we have permanent visibility of each engines’ health with specific recommendations on whether or not to change oil by a named tech always available by the phone.

It is staggering to realize the amount of oil we were using and not fully utilizing the conservation methods that were available. We now have full peace of mind knowing that our engines are running on the cleanest oil possible and we are enjoying the greatly reduced costs of running Kleenoil, and we are now a “Green Company.”

We see this technology as being vital to equipment owners and cannot see our company without it in the future.

Sincerely,

Subject: Kleenoil Letter of Recommendation (Onboard engine oil recycling systems)

As a leader in the excavation industry we are always looking for ways to improve business processes. Our Business Process Improvement department, developed in September 2006, takes a 360 degree view of current processes and suggests improvements. We partner with organizations that see the big picture and take the time to understand business objectives. Kleenoil came to us in January of 2007, asking questions about our entire program. Their first concern was to gain a comprehensive understanding of our entire fluid program. The partnership flourished and has proven to be one of the most successful to date.

The program started with a complete analysis of our oil program. Bulk tanks, lube trucks, and equipment were surveyed to establish baseline data. Kleenoil came to us with solutions based on factual data. They consulted with us every step of the way to create an all encompassing program.

The program has successfully tripled the drain extensions of our over-the-road equipment. Our mechanics spend more time addressing mechanical or D.O.T. issues rather than changing oil. Factual data showed off-the-road extensions could be doubled within the first six months of the evaluation. We have implemented the change and continue to evaluate. Our off-the-road goal is to establish a thousand hours interval, changing oil twice a year unless dictated by analysis.

When building a relationship with Kleenoil you get more than a vendor. You get a consultative group who makes a difference. Our relationship has proven to save hundreds of thousands of dollars and continues to grow. We at Rodman would strongly suggest establishing a rapport with Kleenoil.

Shawn Schneider, Manager Process Improvement, Rodman LLC

To whom it may concern,

We have been using Kleenoil for approximately ten years on all our heavy equipment motors. We extended oil drain periods from four to three times, changing the Kleenoil cartridge every 250 hours. Last fall, two motors were removed primarily for blow-by, but with the hours on these motors, we felt the crank and cams would need machining. These motors had excess of 26,000 hours on them.

Our machine shop told us that they did not know what we were doing with our motors, but to keep on doing it! The only things that the machine shop did replace were the valve guides. It is evident when you open up a motor equipped with the Kleenoil system, just how clean it is. The lack of component wear the system provides is noticeable.

Since the New Year, we have asked Richard to install the Kleenoil system on the new equipment we have purchased on our four new Mack Trucks with EGR motors. Two more Mack Trucks will be fitted upon arrival in the spring, bringing the total number of units using the Kleenoil system to thirty.

Please contact me if any additional information or clarification is needed. We thank you for the opportunity to express our views.

In the latter part of 2005, we began a maintenance program dedicated to lengthening our oil drain cycles. We wanted to increase our drain cycles from 250 hours to 400 hours, while maintaining the integrity of the oil. On our own, we increased the hours from 250 to 300 by changing the OEM filters more frequently.

In December 2005, we were introduced to the Kleenoil Bypass Oil Filtration System and decided to pilot test the system on a variety of different types of equipment. We filtered engine oil and hydraulic fluid on Gomaco pavers, Mack dump trucks, CAT D9 dozers, scrapers and graders.

The results on all of the equipment have been impressive. Proven through independent oil analysis, we improved our oil drain intervals to over 800 hours in our engines reducing the amount of downtime. We continue to keep hydraulic fluid cleaner than new oil saving unnecessary wear on the hydraulic pumps and valves. In fact, using the Kleenoil System, we no longer change our hydraulic fluids on a schedule. We now change it by fluid analysis only.

The Kleenoil filter keeps the oil cleaner than new oil, saving us a significant amount of money in upfront maintenance costs. We believe the biggest savings for our company will happen in the future with decreased engine wear and less downtime, since our equipment will be running on cleaner than new oil all the time. We highly recommend this product and will be installing it on more of our equipment in the future.

Sincerely,

Kleenoil Filtration Products for my company is a sure way of saving. Our operations are quarry crushing, gravel transportation, excavation and floating.

We first experienced two Kleenoil filters four years ago on a 966D wheel loader and a Western Star 350 big cam Cummins engine. We scheduled a Kleenoil filter change on the loader at 200 hours and manufacturer filter & oil change at 500 hours. On the tractor we scheduled the Kleenoil filter change at 20,000 kilometers and the manufacturer filter and oil change at 100,000 kilometers or once a year.

We have sent oil samples to Wear Check and Crothers and the results were very satisfactory.

The following year we purchased 30 more units & installed them on our front end shovel, euclids, stationary engines, dump and mixer trucks and balance off wheel loaders.

Sleeve pitting on a Cummin's engine was the reason why we opened an engine and inspected the crankshaft, the bearings were done at the same time and let me tell you, we are very well pleased with this product. Fuel, water, antifreeze and aluminum and copper sediments could be detected in the filter before any failure. I strongly recommend Kleenoil filter to anyone.

To whom it may concern:

Llano Utility is developing a new preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime and lower costly repairs. A major part of the program involves the installation of the Kleenoil Bypass Filtration System to our engines and hydraulic units.

To date, we have installed 65 systems on the engines of our excavators, trenchers, backhoes and boring machines. Kleenoil has helped to cut our oil costs by extending our oil drains from 250 hours to 750 hours. Instead of changing our oil and spin on filter, we now change the Kleenoil filter cartridge at 250 hours and 500 hours. We then change the oil and both filters at 750 hours. We have been taking oil analysis at the 250 and 500 hour levels and are seeing exceptionally clean results.

During this oil sampling process, we found one engine that was high in diesel fuel content. We examined the engine and made a timely repair saving as much as $15,000.

Our future plans include installing the Kleenoil Systems on the rest of our engines and on all of our Hydraulic systems. We may also install and use them to filter our fuel systems.

We believe that Kleenoil provides several benefits which include lower oil costs, reduced repairs, and in the long run, will help achieve higher resale values on our equipment.

We are always looking for new technology to help reduce the cost associated with running a transport fleet. By adding the Kleenoil systems, our trucks are currently running over 100,000 miles without draining the oil. This is significant due to the rising costs of oil and associated maintenance.

It is with great satisfaction that I endorse this product. I have been a faithful user of the Kleenoil By-Pass Filters on two of my Detroit 60 Series trucks since purchased new in 1997. I have also implemented the Kleenoil By-Pass Filter System on the rest of my fleet of 14 trucks with comparable success. The 1997 Detroit 60 Series trucks currently have 2,000,000 kms on them and I feel I have extended the engine life. We have extended the intervals for oil changes from the standard 20,000 kms to 80,000 kms. By changing the Kleenoil By-Pass Filter every 18,000 kms and changing the oil only every 80,000 kms, I feel we have experienced fewer mechanical and engine failures. The added plus of reduced oil consumption has translated into a huge decrease in my truck maintenance expenses. This has translated into a higher profit margin for our trucking business. This along with environmental issues concerning conservation, reduction in consumption of oil products and the concern for emission controls make this product a winner.

To Whom It May Concern:

We were interested but skeptical when Richard Wright of Kleenoil approached us regarding a bypass engine oil system. This system would lengthen our oil and drop intervals on our PM2 Maintenance program from 15,000KM to 60,000KM.

After Richard's demonstration of product data we tested the product on two trucks. In conjunction with the Toromont Oil Analysis program, we were currently using; we monitored the results of the oil quality. We were very impressed with the results.

We have decided to run this program on our entire fleet of 60 disposal and recycling trucks, including city and long haul units. There has been a substantial cost savings not only on the oil and filters but the labour costs have also decreased dramatically due to the time saving for a 10 minute oil filter cartridge change.

Upon installation of the system we do a full oil drop including all the filters. Then we change only the Kleenoil cartridge every 15,000KM. At the 60,000KM milestone we do another full drop.

We have also used the Kleenoil product on the hydraulic systems of a large industrial baler and a garbage compactor that we also have on site.

We have been pleased with the service from Kleenoil and have found them to have a good availability of filters. We will be installing the Kleenoil System on any future equipment purchases and highly recommend the product.

Prior to installing the Kleenoil filter, we used to change the main and rod bearings on our Tandem Milk Trucks at approximately 200,000 kilometers due to the effect of the liquid load shifting band forth in the tank with no baffles. Now we do not bother to check the bearings until we do an in frame because there is very little wear on them. On our Long Distance Highway Tractors we do not look at or change the rod and main bearings as we used to do in the past.

About 15 years ago we equipped a few units, which were in our dirtiest working environment to do a trial testing. We extended our oil change interval from 200 hrs to 600 hrs and began intensive oil sampling and monitoring…..We have also given up on the traditional "bearing roll-in" recommended by some engine manufacturers, as a means of achieving the full life of the engine. We have prevented major engine failures from just the visual and physical condition of the Kleenoil filter itself. Our service intervals are now at 250 hours, extending our drain interval to 750 hrs, or twice a year on most pieces of equipment and vehicles.

We have been using the Kleenoil Filter System in our trucks for over 10 years now.

Previous kms and PTO blower time regulated engine oil and filter changes at approximately 1 month per unit. Since the installation of the Kleenoil auxiliary oil system, the oil and filter changes have been extended up to 4 months. All units are subject to oil sampling and analysis reports at 15,000 km intervals. The usual oil analysis report returned reads "Data indicates no abnormal findings; re sample at normal interval."

Every unit entering the fleet, be it new or equipped with a Kleenoil Oil system before being put into service. These systems extend oil life resulting in lower oil costs as well as lowering waste removal costs.

This applies to all engines in our fleet which include: Cummins M-11 & M-14's, Caterpillar 3406 & C15's, Volvo VED-12's & Detroit Diesel Series 60.

Brico Transportation Ltd., has been using Kleenoil Filtration Systems for the past 10 years. Originally 3 trucks, and as the fleet grew we currently run 45 trucks on the system. We extend the oil drain periods to 80,000 kms changing the Kleenoil Cartridge every 20,000 kms.

We will continue to install systems in our new trucks as they arrive.

Cam-Scott Truck and Trailer Repair Ltd has been using the Kleenoil Oil Filtration system for nine years now. We initially tested it on several units and were so pleased that we now have it installed on most of our fleet of ninety highway tractors. We also have the systems installed in a dozen of trailer reefer units with plans to install them in most of our units in the next few years.

With these systems installed in our tractors, we are now running our units up to 80,000 kilometers between oil service drops.

You can be assured that I am well satisfied with the Kleenoil Oil Filtration system and that the savings incurred by the reduced need of full oil services easily covers the initial cost of the installation of the system.

Rental equipment often has a very hard life since it is not always possible to adhere to regular service intervals. As a result we found that we had to carry out major repairs to some of our engines every year. However, since we fitted our fleet with these filters, we have not had to re-build a single engine and, as you can imagine, this represents a considerable savings to our organization.

To Whom It May Concern:

We at Schooner Transport are always looking for new technology to help reduce the costs associated with running a transport fleet. We have been using oil analysis as a key tool to help extend our drain intervals on our oil changes.

Since we have switched to Chevron Delo 400 with the help of Kleenoil Filtration Systems, we have twice had oil samples return a admirable report after running the unit's over the 100,000 km mark.

We would not hesitate to inform others of the results we have had using Kleenoil and Chevron Delo 400 15W40. We have the oil sample reports to prove it.

Should you require additional information, please do not hesitate to call.

I’m the owner of the Brooklyn VI, a one hundred and ten foot long party boat out of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. It is powered by three 1292 Detroit Diesels, each putting out 815 horse power. Using NNL 690 and Gen 49D, I noticed a difference in both power and fuel economy. On my first trip after adding NNL 690 and Gen 49D, I had a 12% fuel savings which equaled 200 gallons of diesel and the engines ran smoother and did not seem to run as hot. I believe that this is because the entire system was better lubricated and the fuel system was cleaned out and it added Cetane to the fuel. I now use all the Power Up products and I have saved tens of thousands of dollars in fuel, downtime and repair. I installed 4 Heavy Duty Kleenoil Bypass Filtration Systems on my party boat early last year. They work great, and I now run on clean oil all the time. One engine had a problem with a high sulfur content and ash buildup in the oil. Before installing the Kleenoil systems the oil was ISO coded at 25/22. After running the system for 6 weeks, we retested the engine oil and it came in at 16/13. The sulfur and ash readings were way down. I now go 5 times the normal length without changing my oil. Kleenoil is a product that has helped us save on our oil costs, the time it takes to pump the oil and the cost of disposing of the used oil.
